OSWEGO — Christian Simmons, a member of this season’s Oswego State men’s basketball team, has turned pro. Simmons announced Monday on Twitter that he has signed a professional contract with KK Dubrovnik of the A-2 Liga in Croatia.

Simmons averaged 9.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game on 51.9% shooting for the Lakers, helping lead the squad to an appearance in the NCAA DIII Sweet 16 this season.

The 6-foot-5 forward is a native of Rochester, where he was named Section V Class A MVP while at the School of the Arts in 2015. Prior to his season in Oswego, Simmons played at Corning Community College, Mohawk Valley Community College, Mansfield University, and Walsh University.
