SYRACUSE — The Fulton and Oswego varsity swim teams competed at the SCAC Meet over the weekend at Nottingham High School.

The Raiders as a team placed third (274 points), and the Buccaneers came in ninth (113.5). Liverpool captured the team title (563). Baldwinsville took second (289.5), while J-D/CBA placed fourth (231) and Fayetteville-Manlius grabbed fifth (197).

Fulton’s 200-yard medley relay team of Nate Archer, Mark Tallents, Jaden Patterson and Bryce Rogers finished second with a combined time of 1:47.19. In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Rogers, Archer, Tallents and TJ Clayton also came in second (3:37.22).

Archer placed second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.67), while Tallents took second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.07). Clayton finished third in the 200-yard individual medley (2:12.81), and fifth in the 100-yard butterfly (58.32 seconds). Tyler LaDue came in fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.82).

For the Buccaneers, Casey DeLapp placed second in the 100-yard freestyle (49.67), and fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.88). Jack Tonkin took third in the diving event (394.4 points).

Mexico at OHSL Meet

MEXICO — The Mexico varsity swim team hosted the OHSL Meet this past weekend.

The Tigers as a team placed second (661 points). New Hartford won the team title (686). Weedsport finished third (466), while Pulaski-Sandy Creek took fourth (202).

In the 200-yard medley relay, Bill Mills, Tyler Warner, Scott Kessler and Ryan Liedka won with a combined time of 1:49.26.

The 400-yard freestyle relay foursome of Warner, Mills, Kessler and Liedka was victorious with a time of 3:40.71.

Warner swam to a winning time in the 100-yard backstroke (58.54). Mills also competed in the event, finishing second with a time of 1:01.01.

Second-place finishers for the Tigers were Mills in the 200-yard individual medley (2:18.84), Kian Long in the diving event (413.7), Kessler in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.05), Liedka in the 500-yard freestyle (5:33.44) and Warner in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.29).

Clayton Roberts grabbed third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:47.36). Joe Ocker took third in the 200-yard IM (2:21.1).

Fulton won the Harley School Invitational on 1/11/20 and Clayton set a new school record for the Raiders in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of :56.20.
