FULTON — The Fulton varsity boys soccer team lost 2-0 to East Syracuse-Minoa on Thursday.

Dalton Hines recorded nine saves for the Raiders, while Almedin Smajic tallied three saves for ESM. ESM outshot Fulton, 11-7, but the Raiders had a 6-5 advantage on corner kicks.

Mike Cox and Sean Belcher each notched a goal for the Spartans.

MORE BOYS SOCCER

Mexico 2, Solvay 0: The Mexico varsity boys soccer team won 2-0 over Solvay in the first round of the Tigers’ annual tournament on Thursday.

Evan Blunt and Logan LaFlamm both tallied a goal for the Tigers. Zairrin O’Neil provided an assist. Goalkeeper Josh Hadcock recorded a save.

GIRLS SWIMMING

CBA 97, Mexico 86: The Mexico varsity girls swim team lost 97-86 to Christian Brothers Academy on Thursday.

Despite the loss, the Lady Tigers picked up a slew of individual victories. Alexa von Holtz garnered two of those wins in the 100-yard butterfly (57.82 seconds) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:10.51).

Carolyn Zedack was victorious in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.17 seconds. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of von Holtz, Riley Baxter, Ashley Bennett, and Zedack won with a combined time of 1:46.5. von Holtz, Baxter, Bennett and Zedack also won in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:55.02).

Skaneateles 99, Oswego 83: The Oswego varsity girls swim team fell 99-83 to Oswego on Thursday.

Sydney DeLapp swam to two victories for the Lady Buccaneers. She won the 200-yard individual medley (2:22.73) and the 100-yard freestyle (55.55).

Ciarrah Tynan grabbed a win in the 200-yard freestyle (2:13.43), and Mallory Upcraft won the 100-yard butterfly event (1:09.28). The 400-yard freestyle relay team of DeLapp, Tynan, Grace Wing and Upcraft won with a compiled time of 4:01.12.

GIRLS TENNIS

Fulton 5, Central Square 2: The Mexico varsity girls tennis team topped Central Square by a score of 5-2 on Thursday.

In doubles, the teams of Leah Kingsbury and Madison Hotchkiss (4-6, 6-4, 6-3), and Victoria Stoutenger and Jasmine Fauler (3-6, 6-4, 7-5) each won in three sets.

Kaitlin Clingerman and Gracie Dempsey pulled out the victory in two sets (6-1, 6-4). Alexis Ingersoll and Olivia Cunningham took the loss in two sets (6-4, 6-4).

In singles, Katelyn Perkins volleyed to a win in three sets (7-5, 3-6, 6-3). Madelyn Delano won 6-0 in each of her two sets, and Ana Marroquin-Aguilar lost in three sets (6-0, 3-6, 1-6).

Jordan-Elbridge 4, Mexico 3: The Mexico varsity girls tennis team fell 4-3 to Jordan-Elbridge on Thursday.

Juliana Smith (6-4, 6-0) and Paige Masrouri (6-0, 6-2) won in two sets in their respective single matches for the Lady Tigers. Juliana Hernandez fell in two sets (6-1, 6-3).

Mexico’s doubles duo of Alivia Kelsey and Shelby Schumacher were victorious in two sets (7-5, 6-1). Haylee Mannise and Alana Rice lost in three sets (1-6, 6-2, 9-11), while Caitlyn Hackett/Tori Stores (6-0, 6-2) and Amita Druce/Grace Shipper (6-0, 6-0) both lost in two sets.

Auburn 7, Oswego 0: The Oswego varsity girls tennis team was blanked 7-0 against Auburn on Thursday.

In singles, Abigail McPherson (6-1, 6-2), Victoria Crisafulli (6-0, 6-1) and Sonja Anderson (6-1, 6-2) each lost in two sets.

The doubles teams of Courtney Mills and Erica Henderson (6-2, 6-0), Grace Deland and Laura Cummings (6-2, 6-3), Kaila Loadwick and Ruhma Khawaja (6-0, 6-0), and Megan Albright and Alexandria Delfino (6-4, 6-0) all lost in two sets.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Bishop Grimes 3, Hannibal 0: The Hannibal varsity girls volleyball team lost 3-0 to Bishop Grimes on Thursday.

Bishop Grimes won 25-15 in the first set, and 25-23 in each of the second and third sets.

Erica Stauring led the Lady Warriors with eight assists and three digs. Jhanae Douglas tallied four kills and three digs, while Kyriah Maliszewski had six digs. Izzt Shoults racked up five digs, and Raina Bedell tabbed three aces.
