PLATTSBURGH — Taylor Clare tallied 14 points, 15 rebounds, and six blocked shots to carry host Plattsburgh to a 62-51 victory over Oswego State in women’s basketball action on Saturday.

Reserve Taylor Durnin canned 15 points for the Cardinals (3-6 SUNY Athletic Conference, 6-10 overall). Kelly Degnan had 11 points, and Kayla Doody scored 10 points.

For the Lakers (2-7 SUNYAC, 6-9 overall), Sydni Eure had 15 points and 21 rebounds. Morgan Wolanin and Quincey Zimmerman scored 12 points each. Wolanin added eight rebounds and seven blocked shots.

Laker junior Taylor Torchia dished out eight assists.

Oswego State led 24-23 at halftime, but the Cardinals surged ahead in the third quarter and tacked on to their advantage in the fourth.

Oswego State’s next game is Friday at Buffalo State.
