UTICA — Getting second-period goals from Philomena Teggart and Avery Webster, the Oswego State women’s hockey team topped Utica 2-1 on Saturday in Utica.

Rachael Farmer made 19 saves for the Lakers, who improved to 11-6-4 on the season.

Credited with assists for the Lakers were Kate Randazzo, Megan Teachout, Sara Cruise, and Morgan Shines.

Utica’s Caley Susitti scored midway through the third period, but the Pioneers (7-13-1) could not find the equalizer.

The Lakers went 1-for-4 on the power play and held Utica scoreless in its two power-play opportunities.

The Lakers host Nazareth College on Sunday afternoon.
