OSWEGO — The Oswego State women’s basketball team’s 2019-2020 schedule has been announced.

The slate includes 25 regular-season games. Of those, the Lakers host 14 contests at Max Ziel Gymnasium.

Over Oswego State’s final 20 games, 18 of them will be SUNY Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) contests.

Oswego State’s season opener is at Hilbert on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.

The Lakers’ home schedule starts off with the Max Ziel Tournament Nov. 15-16. Oswego State faces University of Wisconsin-Superior on Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. then either Clarkson University or Morrisville State on Nov. 16.

SUNYAC home matchups for Oswego State include Fredonia (Jan. 10), Buffalo State (Jan. 11), Cortland (Jan. 18), Oneonta (Jan. 21), New Paltz (Feb. 4), Plattsburgh (Feb. 14), Potsdam (Feb. 15), Geneseo (Feb. 21), and Brockport (Feb. 22).

The Lakers’ SUNYAC road games are Brockport (Dec. 6), Geneseo (Dec. 7), New Paltz (Jan. 14), Potsdam (Jan. 24), Plattsburgh (Jan. 25), Buffalo State (Jan. 31), Fredonia (Feb. 1), Cortland (Feb. 8), and Oneonta (Feb. 18).

The non-conference slate for Oswego State includes home games against Canton (Nov. 20), Alfred (Nov. 23) and Wells College (Jan. 5) — along with a road game against York College (Dec. 14).

Postseason action is set to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 25 with the first round of the SUNYAC playoffs. The top seed of the tournament will host the semifinal round (Feb. 28) and the final (Feb. 29). The top six teams of the 10-team league will qualify for the tournament.

The Lakers were 1-17 in SUNYAC play and 2-23 overall last season.
