SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Oswego State men’s soccer team lost to Stockton 2-1 on Saturday at the Skidmore College Alumni Invitational.

The Lakers’ Caleb Asamoah scored 15 seconds into the contest, assisted by Jack Van Pelt. Asamoah’s shot from 35 yards out beat the goalkeeper over his left shoulder

Stockton came back to notch the victory.

Ervin Gjell scored on a penalty kick for Stockton 4:25 into the first half.

With just under 12 minutes left in the first half, Joel Burgos scored the go-ahead goal for the Ospreys (3-1).

Brian Terra made three saves for the Lakers (1-2).

Oswego State was to close out the invitational Sunday against St. John Fisher College.
