MILTON — The Oswego State women’s cross country team took sixth place and the men finished ninth at the SUNY Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at the Hudson Valley SportsDome. The meet was hosted by New Paltz.

Leading the way for the Lakers was sophomore Hannah Hertik. Hertik had a top 25 finish with a six-kilometer time of 25:21.8.

Senior Jamie Kasza claimed 31st overall with a time of 25:55.3.

Sophomore Emily Blake rounded out the top three Laker finishers, placing 33rd in 25:58.6.

For the Oswego State men’s team, freshman Gabriel Winters-Bona placed 21st with an 8K time of 26:40.

Mathew Barbookles (54th, 27:58.4) and Nathan Couse (58th, 28:06.8) were the next finishers for the Lakers.

The teams are off for two weeks until the NCAA Atlantic Regionals, hosted at 11 a.m. Nov. 16 by St. Lawrence University.
