OSWEGO — The Oswego modified boys soccer team closed out its season with victories over Central Square and Jamesville-DeWitt.
Oswego 2, Central Square 0: During the first quarter, Oswego started out fast and moved the ball down the field, while Oswego’s defense held Central Square in check. Cooper Fitzgerald scored on a long ball with only minutes remaining in the first quarter.
During the second quarter, Zach Munger scored near the end of the quarter on a penalty kick to make it 2-0.
Throughout the rest of the game, both teams seemed to have a second wind, making the game fast-paced until the end.
Oswego 1, J-D 0: Oswego won its last game of the year against J-D to finish with a record of 8-2-1.
Both teams played well. Zach Munger scored during the second quarter with an assist from Tanner Defren. For the remainder of the game, both teams continued to move the ball well and get good shots. Oswego held on for the victory.
