ITHACA — Oswego/Fulton and Mexico swimmers competed at the New York State Swimming Championship Meet at Ithaca College over the weekend.

Mexico’s Alexa von Holtz placed 10th in the 100-yard butterfly championship (57.52) to earn a state medal. The freshman placed seventh (56.89) in the preliminary race to qualify for the finals.

In the 200-yard individual medley consolation finals, von Holtz placed 13th (2:07.31). She also took 13th in the preliminaries (2:07.67).

The Oswego/Fulton 200-yard freestyle team placed 24th in preliminaries in 1:40.85, earning a return trip for the finals. In the finals, the team placed 28th in 1:41.18.

The relay included Sydney DeLapp, Grace Wing, Aunna Metelsky, and Ciarrah Tynan.

The Tigers’ 200 free relay squad of von Holtz, Riley Baxter, Evie Fontana, and Carolyn Zedack finished 45th (1:43.13) in the event.

DeLapp also competed in the 100-yard freestyle preliminaries, placing 44th (54.46).
