OSWEGO — Getting outstanding pitching, the Elks Lodge posted a pair of victories recently in Oswego Little League Majors Division baseball action.

The Elks defeated Vona’s 14-0, and also topped Lighthouse Lanes 6-3.

Here are recaps of the games.

Elks 14, Vona’s 0: Nolan Roy, Daniel Callen, and Adam Greene combined to pitch a no-hitter as the Elks shut out Vona’s.

Greene struck out the last eight batters that he faced.

Tommy Kirwan led the Elks offensively with an inside-the-park home run, a triple, a single and two walks. Emery O’Brien and Roy each smacked three hits. Jameson Stepien and Daniel Callen had two hits each, and Greene, Aaron O’Brien, and David Curry also had hits.

Zach Truell, Malia Upcraft, and Alex Taylor pitched for Vona’s. Aiden DeSantis, Truell, Jack Wallace, and Louis Colon Molina reached base.

Elks 6, Lighthouse Lanes 3: Elks starting pitcher Tommy Kirwan recorded 13 strikeouts in 4.2 innings in the win over Lighthouse Lanes.

Jameson Stepien and Nolan Roy closed out the game for the Elks. Kirwan led the offensive charge with two hits, while Mason Naumann, Stepien, Aaron O’Brien, and Connor Kelly also hit safely.

Ethan King, Luis Correa, Daniel Callen, and Roy also reached base for the Elks.

Dominic Alfano, Charlie Cherchio, and Owen Seubert pitched for Lighthouse. Seubert, Mikey Conzone, Dominic Stafford, and Cherchio had hits.

Lighthouse mounted a valiant comeback in the bottom of the sixth inning. With his team trailing 6-0, Cherchio hit a home run to make it 6-3. Lighthouse loaded the bases with one out before Roy struck out the last two batters to end the game.
