OSWEGO — Liz Myers netted the game-winning goal with 15 seconds left in the second half as the Oswego State women’s soccer team won 2-1 over Houghton College on Saturday at Laker Turf Stadium.

Myers’ go-ahead goal came off an assist from Maggie Riordan.

The Lakers took a 1-0 lead in the first half at 34:55 when Katharine Balog buried a pass from Graisa Madden into the back of the net.

At 37:54 in the first half, the Highlanders tied it when Moriah Steffen connected with Mikayla Simon on a corner kick for the goal.

Oswego State outshot Houghton 15-10, and had a 4-3 advantage on corner kicks.

Emma Allen made two saves for the Lakers. Megan Merrifield tallied eight saves for the Highlanders.
