EAST SYRACUSE — The Oswego and Fulton varsity boys golf teams competed against the East Syracuse-Minoa Blue and Orange teams at The Links at Erie Village.

The Buccaneers beat the Orange team, 215-255, but lost 210-215 to the Blue team. The Raiders topped the Orange team (251-255), but fell to the Blue team (210-251).

Mike Douglas shot a 41 for Oswego. Jack O’Leary and Jack Hall each carded a 42, and Cole Cullinan scored a 46. Ike Calverase scored a 47.

For Fulton, Robert Voss shot a 42. Tanner Emmons and Trey White each carded a 47.

Oswego and Fulton will now prepare for the Section III Large School Tournament, which is this Thursday at Radisson Greens Golf Course in Baldwinsville. Cullinan, Douglas, Ryan Bartlett, O’Leary, Hall and Roman have all qualified for sectionals for the Bucs, and Voss has qualified for the Raiders.


Westhill 4, Mexico 3: The Mexico varsity girls tennis team lost 4-3 to Westhill.

The Lady Tigers’ three match victories came in doubles. The duos of Juliana Smith/Mia Morris (6-1, 4-6, 6-3) and Shelby Schumacher/Paige Masrouri (6-3, 4-6, 10-1) won in three sets. Amita Druce/Alana Rice were victorious in two sets (8-6, 6-3).

C-NS 6, Fulton 1: The Fulton varsity girls tennis team fell 6-1 to Cicero-North Syracuse.

The lone match win for the Lady Raiders came in doubles when the duo of Alexis Barth/Madelyn Delano won in three sets (6-2, 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (10-4)).


Westhill 3, Oswego 0: The Oswego varsity girls volleyball team lost 3-0 to Westhill.

The Lady Warriors won 25-15 in each of the first two sets, and 25-20 in the third set.

Nicole Pappa tallied nine digs and an ace for the Lady Buccaneers. Caitlin Lilly racked up four blocks, four aces and two kills. Cassidy Proud chipped in five kills, Alyssa Morley finished with six assists and five aces, and Hannah Holland added four aces.

Liverpool 3, Fulton 0: The Fulton varsity girls volleyball team fell 3-0 to Liverpool.

Liverpool was victorious by scores of 25-18, 25-21 and 25-11.

Ashley Jackson and Chyanne Okoniewski each tallied five blocks, with Okoniewski also chipping in four digs and two aces. Ella Henderson tabbed 14 assists, five digs and four kills. Sydney Lawson added 20 digs and four kills, while Abby Pawlewicz had eight digs and an ace.
