FULTON — The Fulton varsity boys hockey team shut out Ontario Bay, 4-0.

Derek Schumaker notched two goals for the Raiders. Nicolai Tardibone and CJ Watts both had a goal. Fred White provided two assists, while Jon Dingman, Patrick Galvin, Calexander Connelly and Nicolas Schremp all chipped in an assist.

Jadon Lee and Trey White combined to make 27 saves in net for Fulton. For Ontario Bay, Zairrin O’Neil stopped 20 shots.


Hannibal 45, NRW 41: The Hannibal varsity boys basketball team topped North Rose-Wolcott by a score of 45-41.

Zach Shortslef led the Warriors with 13 points. James Somers chipped in 11 points, while Jack Smith and Austin Calkins both added nine points.

NRW was clinging to a 21-20 lead at the half. In the third quarter, Hannibal went on a 12-10 run for a 32-31 advantage. The Warriors fended off NRW by outscoring them 13-10 in the fourth quarter.

Cortland 66, Fulton 63: Seth Grimshaw scored 22 points in the Fulton varsity boys basketball team’s 66-63 loss to Cortland.

Jack Broderick finished with 14 points for the Raiders. Marcus Shepard and Dominic Abbott both tossed in 11 points.

Fulton was holding on to a commanding 36-18 lead at the half.

In the second half, however, the Purple Tigers went to work. Cortland outscored Fulton in the third quarter, 22-13, to cut the deficit to 49-40. The Tigers then overwhelmed the Raiders with a 26-14 spurt en route to the comeback victory.


Cazenovia 51, Hannibal 34: The Hannibal varsity girls basketball team fell 51-34 to Cazenovia.

Julia Shortslef paced the Lady Warriors with 12 points. Kelsey Combes chipped in 11 points, and Alyssa Emmons added six points.

The Lady Lakers had a 28-12 lead at the half and never looked back.
