BRIDGEPORT — The Mexico varsity boys golf team competed at the Section III Small School Tournament Tuesday at Rogues’ Roost Golf Club.

The Tigers placed seventh as a team (468). Cazenovia captured the team title (424) by one stroke over Skaneateles and Westhill, as each finished tied for second (425). Christian Brothers Academy came in fourth (426), and Homer took fifth (446).

The qualifying individual sectional score to move on to the Section III state qualifier is 86. Two of Mexico’s golfers missed the cut by a couple of strokes, as Connor Revette and Lyle Trimble both carded an 88.

Ryan Mosher scored a 93 in his effort for the Tigers. Nate Burrows had a 97, while Trevor Coe and Andre Burns shot a 102 and 103 — respectively.

Skaneateles’ Tynan Jones was the medalist and individual sectional champion, as he shot a 67 for the Lakers.
