HOMER — The Oswego varsity boys lacrosse team will look for its first victory of the season when it hosts Jordan-Elbridge at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Joseph Wilber Field.
The Bucs (0-3) dropped a 13-5 decision at Homer on Friday.
"We played noticeably better than we did in our last game," Oswego coach Bob Nelson said. "We got some assisted goals, and our goaltending was better. We did a good job in our settled defensive situations. Ground balls and penalties hurt us a bit." Mark Schuffenecker scored three goals for the Bucs. Trey Clark and Austin Nearbin netted one goal each.
Tallying assists for Oswego were Nearbin (2), Clark, and Brandon Meyers.
In goal for Oswego, Corey Stevens made 12 saves and Eric Yurkon stopped two shots.
Dante Yacavone scored five goals and added two assists for the Trojans (2-1), who led 8-3 at halftime.
Mark Suits made six saves in goal for the winners. Zach Clark also played and did not make any saves.
