OSWEGO — Sara Cruise recorded a three-goal hat trick as the Oswego State women’s hockey team beat King’s College by a score of 9-0 Wednesday.

The Lakers (8-3-1) scored four in the first period, one in the second and four again in the third to round out the dominant scoring effort.

Megan Teachout and Morgan Shines each chipped in two goals. Amber Thomas and Eryn Stewart both contributed a goal.

Shines and Teachout had three assists apiece. Philomena Teggart, Natalie Giglio and Avery Webster all had two assists.

Rachael Farmer made just seven saves between the pipes for Oswego State. Hannah Bowers and Emma Zeveney combined to stop 40 shots for the Monarchs (1-8-1).

The Lakers killed three penalties, while the Monarchs cleared two of them. Oswego State outshot King’s, 49-7.

Oswego State is at Morrisville State this Saturday. Puck drops at 3 p.m.
