SYRACUSE — The Fulton varsity swim team won its second-straight Section III Class B title on Thursday at Nottingham High School.
The Raiders finished with a total of 446 points, six more than second-place finisher New Hartford (440). Mexico came in third (326), while South Jefferson grabbed fourth (295). Oneida placed fifth (200).
TJ Clayton grabbed sectional titles in the 100-yard butterfly (54.49) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:04.02). Tyler LaDue was the champion in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.74).
The 200-yard medley relay team won the sectional title as Clayton, Nate Archer, Mark Tallents and Jaden Patterson combined to finish in 1:42.38.
Tallents finished second in the 200 IM (2:04.57) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.72). Bryce Rogers took second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.56), and Archer swam to a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (59.68 seconds).
The 400-yard freestyle relay foursome of Archer, Clayton, Rogers and Koji Burdic placed second (3:29.29). In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Patterson, Rogers, Burdic and Tallents came in second (1:33.77).
Third-place finishers for the Raiders were Rogers in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.43) and LaDue in the 200 IM (2:09.13).
Tyler Warner swam to a title-clinching win in the 100-yard backstroke (56.57).
The 200-yard medley relay team of Bill Mills, Warner, Scott Kessler and Ryan Liedka took second with a combined time of 1:44.97. Mills took third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:18.39).
Lane Rawls, Hannibal’s lone swimmer, finished third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.45) and fourth in the 500-yard freestyle (5:26.76).
