SYRACUSE — Mexico’s Kian Long punched his ticket for the New York State Diving Championship Meet after an impressive performance at the state qualifier on Wednesday at Nottingham High School.

Oswego’s Jack Tonkin, who qualified for states at the Section III Class A Diving Meet this past weekend, finished fourth (502.8 points) at the state qualifier. Long placed sixth (454.75) at the state qualifier.

Other Section III divers qualifying for states were JD/CBA’s Lucas Dekaney (546.9), New Hartford’s Moaz Elazzazi (516.3), West Genesee’s Justin Byrne (508.35), F-M’s Connor Gleasman (490.55) and West Genesee’s David Puma (454.65).
