Women's volleyball action

Oswego native Clara Culeton goes up for the spike while competing for the Oneonta women's volleyball team.

ONEONTA — Oswego High School graduate Clara Culeton continues to be one of the leaders of the SUNY Oneonta women’s volleyball team.

Culeton currently leads the Dragons in points (275, 3.82 average) and blocks (69). She is second on the team in kills (202) and third in service aces (24). Culeton has also totaled 56 digs.


Mallory Clark (Cazenovia College): G. Ray Bodley High School graduate Mallory Clark is putting together an efficient season for the Cazenovia College women’s volleyball team.

Clark currently leads the Wildcats in kills with 93 (2.16 average) She is third on the team in points (103) and blocks (11).

Nicole Hansen (SUNY Potsdam): G. Ray Bodley High School graduate Nicole Hansen is in her junior season with the SUNY Potsdam women’s volleyball team.

Hansen leads the Bears in points with 130 (2.41 average) and is tied with her teammate Jessica Ader in kills (108, 2.0 average). She is fourth in service aces (20) and second in digs (156).


Darrin Cooper (Anna Maria College): G. Ray Bodley High School graduate Darrin Cooper is taking on his junior season with the Anna Maria College football team.

In the Wildcats’ 35-20 loss to Apprentice, Cooper had an interception, a tackle and broke up a pass.


Lauren Boshart (Alfred University): Oswego High School graduate Lauren Boshart is competing well for the Alfred University women’s tennis team.

On Saturday against St. John Fisher College, Boshart won her singles match in two sets (6-4, 6-2). She has an 8-3 record in singles, and a 5-6 mark in doubles.


Callie Beckwith (Campbell University): G. Ray Bodley High School Callie Beckwith is in her senior season with the Campbell University women’s soccer team.

Beckwith is a defender who has started all 12 games for the Fightin’ Camels so far this season.

College athlete submissions

The Palladium-Times sports department is looking for submissions on local former high school athletes who are currently competing for a college sports team.

The department puts together a regular college sports roundup centered on former high school athletes from Oswego County.
