COBLESKILL — Mexico High School graduate and Oswego native Daniel Mullen is in his junior year with the SUNY Cobleskill men’s swim team.

In the Fighting Tigers’ 96-77 victory over SUNY Delhi last Saturday, Mullen was victorious in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.07), the 100-yard freestyle (54.68 seconds) and the 50-yard freestyle (23.99).


Christian Davis and Austin Richardson (Le Moyne College): Oswego High School graduates Christian Davis and Austin Richardson competed for the Le Moyne College men’s swim team this past weekend at the Justin Jennings Invite at Colgate University.

Richardson and the 400-yard freestyle relay team placed fourth with a time of 3:18.02. Richardson placed fifth in the 400-yard individual medley (4:30.41), sixth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:07.16) and seventh in the 500-yard freestyle (4:57.86).

Davis and Richardson were part of the 400-yard medley team, finishing sixth (3:51.59). Davis also competed in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke, respectively placing sixth (1:05.12) and eighth (2:26.74) in those events.


Alison Rodgers (Robert Morris University): Oswego native Alison Rodgers is in her junior season with the Robert Morris women’s hockey team.

Rodgers has competed in four games for the Colonials so far this season, recording four shots and blocking two.


Clara Culeton (SUNY Oneonta): Oswego High School graduate Clara Culeton continues to lead the pack for the SUNY Oneonta women’s volleyball team this season.

Culeton leads the team in points with 310 (3.83 per set) and blocks (73). She is second in kills with 232 (2.84 per set) and third in service aces (27).

Nicole Hansen (SUNY Potsdam): G. Ray Bodley High School graduate Nicole Hansen is competing well for the SUNY Potsdam women’s volleyball season.

Hansen leads the team in points with 163.5 (2.55 per set) and service aces (26). She is second in kills with 133 (2.08 per set) and digs with 180 (2.81 per set).

Mallory Clark (Cazenovia College): G. Ray Bodley High School graduate Mallory Clark is trekking through her senior year with the Cazenovia College women’s volleyball team.

Clark is tied for second on the team in kills with 98 (1.56 per set). She is third in blocks (13) and fourth in points (115).


Darrin Cooper (Anna Maria College): G. Ray Bodley High School graduate Darrin Cooper recorded a tackle and broke up a pass in Anna Maria College’s 21-20 win over Alfred State last Saturday.


Owen Braun and Jacob Bailey (Morrisville State): Hannibal High School graduate Owen Braun and G. Ray Bodley High School grad Jacob Bailey competed at the Hamilton College Invitational with the Morrisville State cross country team on Oct. 5.

Bailey placed 43rd (30:46), while Braun came in 46th (30:53).

College athlete submissions

The Palladium-Times sports department is looking for submissions on local former high school athletes who are currently competing for a college sports team.

The department puts together a regular college sports roundup centered on former high school athletes from Oswego County.
