To the editor,
Thirteen feet is the new width of Water Street.
There has been no provision for vehicles to get to the side to load or unload passengers or allow traffic to pass and no delivery zone cut-outs to allow traffic to pass either.
This stupid plan makes no sense. The people running the city have no consideration for anyone but their cronies.
Oswego needs parking downtown, not a 13-foot-wide street that has no provision to allow traffic flow.
This street has had crappy engineers and capital projects for many decades. Before city wastes $800,000, how about resolving the underground problems first and how about we get a design for the area that has FUNCTION other than hurting the businesses by losing 18 of 53 parking spots.
They are also creating snow removal nightmare.
Best wishes to all!
