SCRIBA — Theresa A. Broadwell, 88, a resident of county Route 63 in the town of Scriba, passed away Saturday at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
Theresa was born in Palmer, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Frederick and Flora (Ravelin) Raymond.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed with the housekeeping department at SUNY-Oswego. She had previously worked at the Nestles Corp. in Fulton.
She was the wife of the late Beryl Broadwell, who died in 2007.
Theresa’s favorite pastimes were sightseeing around the countryside with her husband, and having cookouts and gatherings with her children, other family members, and friends.
She is survived by four daughters, Helen Broadwell of Oswego, Debbie (John) Viavattene of Rochester, Gerri (Donald) LaPoint of Pulaski, and Donna Motyka of Fulton; three sons, Beryl Broadwell of Scriba, Harry (Karen) Broadwell of Georgia, and Gary (Denise) Broadwell of Hannibal; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Edward Broadwell; a daughter, June Espenshade; and a granddaughter, Crystal Motyka.
Calling hours will be held 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, with a funeral service to follow, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E.Second St., Oswego.
Burial will be at a later date in New Haven Cemetery.
