OSWEGO TOWN — Lillian Morgia, 102, of Oswego Town passed away on July 18, 2019.
She was the daughter of the late Rose (Taormina) and Giacomo Furnari.
Born and raised in Oswego, she attended local schools, graduated from Oswego High School and later met and married her husband of 52 years, the late Lawrence Morgia Sr. She was a homemaker and raised her two children.
Lillian’s family was always most important. She cherished her time spent with them. She kept the tradition of Sunday dinners with her family for many years. Another great highlight of her life was a two-week trip to Italy when she was in her 70’s. Lillian loved to travel and bake. She was a very active person and continued to enjoy bridge, golf, and her daily walks throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter Jeanne (Gordon) Campbell of Oswego and Lawrence Jr. (Tammy) Morgia; grandchildren Robyn (Stephen) Sessler, Laury (Michael) Thompson and Aimee (Michael) Allain and Christian (Andrea) Morgia; great-grandchildren Ally, Samantha and Kate Sessler, Alex Allain and Carleah and Connor Morgia; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also pre-deceased by her husband Larry Morgia Sr.; her sister Theresa Marshall; and brothers Steve, Sam, Pete and Joe Furnari.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, July 22, at in St. Joseph’s Church.
Entombment will take place in St. Peter’s Mausoleum.
