SCRIBA — John S. Demass, 55, a resident of Creamery Road in the town of Scriba, was placed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at his home.
John was born in Peterborough, New Hampshire, the son of Ella (Stearns) Demass, and the late Arthur Norman Demass.
He loved the Lord, and was an avid hunter.
He had formerly worked as a production supervisor with the Teti Bakery in Fulton.
He is survived by his wife Velva “Tina” Demass; his mother Ella Demass; six children, Lisa Perdikis, Sue Ella (James) Martin, Linda Demass, John (Kaitlin) Demass, Deliberate (David) Hedrick and Alden (Megan) Dotson; six siblings, Patricia (Ernest) Sinclair, Brenda (Dan) Spear, Joann (Dennis) Plourde, Arthur (Cheryl) Demass, Herbert Demass, and Vicky (Dennis) Bouchard; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of his Life will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the home of his son John, 208 Kingdom Road in the town of Scriba.
His family would like to thank the people of Oswego County Hospice for the wonderful care that he received.
