OSWEGO TOWN — John J. Eason, 55, a resident of Oswego town, passed away Monday, June 03, 2019.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of Karen Eason and the late George E. Eason Sr.

John was a beloved father and family man. His great passions were his grandchildren, and the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed antique collecting.

John was a member of Carpenters Local No. 747, and, Millwrights Local No. 1163. He was self-employed as Eason Machining for several years.

John was predeceased by his wife Jane F. Eason, infant son James Eason, his father George E. Eason Sr., and his father-in-law James F. Peterson.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Eason of Oswego; son Zachary (Jessica) Eason of Oswego; daughter Brooke (Da Wei) Yang of Kansas; brother George Jr. (Teresa) Eason of Kentucky and Daniel (Katrina) Eason of Scriba; sister Colleen G. Eason; mother-in-law Ann Peterson; brothers-in law James (Lesa) Peterson and Jay (Dina) Peterson, both of Oswego; grandchildren Kinley Eason, Korbin Eason and Gwendolyn Yang; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, from at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

Interment will be held privately at St. Peters Cemetery.
