OSWEGO — Joann Methot, 75, of Oswego, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at St. Luke’s with her family by her side.
She was born in Oswego, daughter of the late Joseph Woods and Loretta Keating Woods. She was employed at Friendly’s as general manager for 20 years.
She enjoyed playing Bingo and Yatzee and going to Disneyworld with her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her great-granddaughter Emma. She was also Director of Religious Education at St. Mary’s for a number of years.
She was predeceased by her sister Theresa Beshures and niece Jennifer Evans.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Methot; daughters Lisa (Mike) Stephens of Syracuse, Pamela (Robert) Methot of Oswego, and Julie (Vincent) Methot of Oswego; two brothers, Joe (Pam) Woods of Hornell and Frances (Sally) Woods of Oswego; two sisters, Margaret (Eric) Pollard of North Carolina and Patty (Bill) Evans of California; two grandchildren, Amanda (Jim) Davis of Syracuse and Allison (Nate) Stephens of Syracuse; and her great-granddaughter Emma Kelley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Oswego.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary’s of The Assumption at 10 a.m. Monday.
Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery.
