Henry James Honebein, 68, of Oswego, New York, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 2, 2019.
He was born in 1950 in Nyack, New York, before spending most of his adult life in Oswego. He worked tirelessly as a truck driver. For a time he also owned a bait and tackle shop in Oswego and was active in the Teamsters Union Number 317. Hank also worked on the boat patrol for the sheriff’s department and most recently FX Caprara.
Ever busy helping to raise his three daughters, Hank always was there for others. Hank was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, camping and fishing with friends both new and old. He could also be found every so often on the CB as well. None of these could compare to spending time with the love of his life, his wife Brenda.
Hank had a tremendous appetite for life, as he was always enjoying every moment with his friends, family and of course his dog Molly.
Hank was predeceased by his mother, Katherine Hoyle and sister, Carol Honebein.
Hank is survived by his wife, Brenda Honebein and his three daughters, Jessica Honebein of Adams Center, Brianne (James) Hartmann of Oswego, and Katelin Honebein of New Haven; Daniel Sova whom was a brother to him; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Hartmann house, 40 Talisman Terrace in Oswego.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to University of Rochester Medical under the Cardiology Patient Care Assistance Fund.
