SCRIBA — Grace “Edna” Farella (Patane), 90, a resident of county Route 4 in the town of Scriba, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2020 at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
Mrs. Farella was born in Oswego, New York, the daughter of the late Santo and Sebastiana (Garafolo) Patane. She was a life resident of the area.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Scriba, and was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society.
She was an excellent seamstress, cook, loving mother and wife. She also loved arts and crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, John Farella of Scriba; two daughters, Tina Marie Geers of Oswego and Joanne (William) Goodwin of Ocala, Florida; two sons, John (Barbara Panko) Farella of Baldwinsville, and Joseph (Geralyn) Farella of Baldwinsville; her brother, Edward Patane of Rochester; nine grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew, Nicholas, Joseph, William, Jarod, Justin, Marc and Rachel; and five great-grandchildren, Everett, Trevor, Gianna, Stephen and Maria; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Carmella Barbarino and Theresa Patane.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church, county Route 4, Scriba.
Spring burial will be in Peck’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
