OSWEGO — Francis J. “Bulldog” Woods, 70, a resident of Oswego passed away on Sept. 25, 2019 at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Joseph and Loretta (Keating) Woods and was a graduate of the Oswego High School.

He was employed with Stevedore and Papertronics before working for the City of Oswego, first for the DPW and later he retired from the Water Department.

He was a former member of the Polish Club and the Oswego Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his companion of 45 years, Sally Crowe; four children, Bernie Crowe of North Carolina, Scott Carr of Oswego, Brian Crowe of Oswego and Shelly Crowe of Delaware; two sisters, Margaret (Eric) Pollard of North Carolina and Patty (Bill) Evans of California; a brother, Joseph (Pam) Woods of Canisteo; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Bulldog was pre-deceased by his sisters, Theresa Beshures in 1981 and Joann Methot in 2019.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
