SCRIBA — Debora A. Victory, 61, a resident of Scriba, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, in Syracuse, following a five-year battle with cancer.
Debbie was born in Oswego, the daughter of Lucie (Baron) Shurr, and the late Michael Shurr. She was a life resident.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Landon & Rian as an executive secretary at SUNY-Oswego. She had also worked at Scriba Electric.

She was a true giver, and often donated blood platelets for those in need.
Debbie was a kind and loving person, who was always there to help anyone. She loved bluebirds, hummingbirds, and all animals. At one time, she had fostered animals for the humane society. She believed that our pets truly try to make life better for us, that they love us, and help us to love others. She also understood the healing power of pets during times of grief and loss.
