MEXICO — Carmella Sandra (Susino) McGillicuddy, 69, of Mexico, New York, died Friday, June 28, 2019 at her home following a brief illness.
Born in Oswego to the late Barbara (Wilson) and Michael Susino, she grew up in Oswego. Sandy resided most of her life North of Syracuse and the past 33 years in Mexico, as a homemaker, where she enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She also maintained a winter residence in Deland, Florida since 1998.
In addition to her parents Sandy was predeceased by her husband of 36 years John “Crash” in 2006 and her brother Michael Susino.
She is survived by her children Barbara (Mitchell) Motyka of Fulton, John “Jay” McGillicuddy of Central Square and Sean (Jennifer) McGillicuddy of Mexico; her stepdaughter Darlene (Rob) Whitehead of Camillus; grandsons Anthony, Ryan and her “sweetheart” Patrick; two brothers; and three sisters including her best friend Donna Verdoliva of Oswego.
Her family would like to thank Michelle, Kaitlyn and Hospice of CNY for their loving care.
Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Oswego.
