SCRIBA, NY — Ann Marie (Beckwith) Yablonski, of 26 Beech Drive, Oswego, New York, passed away at home on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, in the arms of her husband.

Ann was born Dec. 18, 1957. She was the daughter of Elizabeth (Betty) Beckwith of the Churchill Road in Scriba.

She was a 1976 graduate of Oswego High School.

She also graduated the Dental Assistant program at BOCES and assisted Dr. Robert Santoro.

She married Stefan (Steve) Yablonski on June 13, 1981, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Minetto. Father Joseph Larkin officiated.

Ann enjoyed reading, especially murder mysteries. She was a big fan of Elvis Presley and Queen.

She was an animal lover and had many cats and dogs during her life. She was especially fond of (Hungry) Jack, a big grey tiger that would sit next to her at the dinner table and receive “treats.” And also Little Squirt, a grey and white cat who passed away in July 2019 and Ann vowed not to get another pet.

She was employed at the deli in Price Chopper and then as program director at the Pinarama bowling center. She then became the Customer Service Manager at Jamesway.  After a brief hiatus, she went to work at Paura’s Discount Liquor Store and finally at Five Points Wine and Liquor before being forced her to quit due to her illness.

She participated in the Queen of Hope to benefit the American Heart Association, several fundraisers for the Cancer Society and each year at Jamesway spearheaded a carnival for the Muscular Dystrophy Association among other events.

She was predeceased by her father, Roy Souva, when she was just three; her mother in 2001; and her uncle Martin Beckwith, who was like a father to her and gave her away at her wedding, in 2002.

She is survived by her husband, Stefan; her aunt, Mrs. Murphy (Pat) Brancato; many cousins, including Elana (Mark) Batchelor, Diane (Donny) Beshures and Danny (Julie) Hall; as well as several nieces, nephews and a myriad of close friends.
