OSWEGO — Aleatha Hallinan, 99, of Oswego, died June 29, 2019 at the Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Dora (Wiltsie) Naracon.
She was a past officer and life member of the Elks Ladies Aux No. 271. She was a member of the Osteo Bone Builders at Scriba, the Scriba Senior Citizens and was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection.
She enjoyed playing bunco and pinochle.
She was predeceased by her husband Stanley Hallinan in 1999 and five brothers and sisters.
Surviving are a daughter, Beth Hallinan of Pulaski and a son Gary (Terrey) Hallinan of Oswego Town; three grandchildren, Matthew (Randi) Hallinan, Brittany (Eric) Hallinan and Heather (Jose) Alvarado; eight great-grandchildren, Alison, Jacen, Lillian, Taylar, Zachary, Kiera, Nathan and Theia; and numerous close nieces and nephews.
Prior to her marriage she was a nanny to Sue and John Downey.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the Church of the Resurrection, 120 W. Fifth St., Oswego.
Burial will be in Peck’s Cemetery, Scriba.
Calling hours will be held 2-5 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
