RICHLAND — Police have charged a Richland man with sexual misconduct after he allegedly engaged in intercourse with a farm animal.
John H. Tibbles, 20, of 1664 County Route 2, Richland, was charged this week with violating Article 130.20 subsection 3 of the New York Penal Code, according to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office. A person is guilty of this charge of sexual misconduct when “he or she engages in sexual conduct with an animal or dead human body.”
Officials said the investigation began as an animal abuse complaint and it was subsequently determined that Tibbles allegedly had sex with a goat. Police could not confirm if Tibbles is the owner of the goat or if the goat belongs to another party.
Tibbles was arraigned in Sandy Creek Town Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. He is scheduled the answer the charge in Orwell Town Court on Jan. 8.
