Pedestrian struck, killed in city of Oswego

Police say a pedestrian was struck at killed Thursday at West Seventh Street and State Route 104, above.

OSWEGO — A man crossing State Route 104 on the west side of the city of Oswego Tuesday was hit by a truck and later succumbed to his wounds.

Oswego Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of West Seventh Street and State Route 104 shortly after noon to reports of a personal injury motor vehicle accident involving a 1996 Ford F250 pickup truck and a male pedestrian, according to officials. The pedestrian suffered “massive injuries” according to a statement from police and despite lifesaving efforts, the pedestrian died after being transported to Upstate Hospital.

Police said all involved parties are cooperating with police but the names of the individuals involved are being withheld pending family notification.
