Dump truck rollover kills Pulaski man

Police say the dump truck, above, driven by 63-year-old Brian E. Parker of Pulaski left Van Auken Road on Monday morning and overturned into a creek. Parker died of his injuries later that day, police said.

BOYLSTON — A Pulaski man was killed Monday when the dump truck he was driving overturned, according to state police.

Brian E. Parker, 63, was southbound on Van Auken Road in the town of Boylston when police say the truck “exited the west shoulder of the roadway and overturned in a creek” shortly after 11 a.m.

Police said Parker was “partially ejected and submerged in the creek for approximately five minutes” before being rescued. Parker was transported by NOCA Ambulance and at 3:57 p.m., died of his injuries at Upstate University Hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
