FULTON — A Fulton woman is facing a drug felony and misdemeanor after investigators claim they arrested her in possession of more than 100 bags of heroin Friday as she drove down a Fulton city street.
Investigators from the Oswego County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Friday evening shortly after 5:30 p.m., seizing 144 bags of heroin allegedly in the possession of Rebecca A. Flugel as she drove a 2009 Kia Rio in the 1200 block on Emery Street in Fulton.
Investigators charged her with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
The seized heroin had an estimated street value of $2,880, according to police. Investigators said they seized all the heroin during the search of Flugel, and did not search her residence for further drug paraphernalia.
Flugel, 26, of 93 Country Lane, Fulton, was arraigned in Fulton City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
She is scheduled to reappear in Fulton City Court on April 13 at 9 a.m.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and further arrests and charges are possible.
